Planning to drive down from Antequera to either Malaga or Marbella as a halfway point for one night, before making our way Seville. Question is : which is better? Marbella or Malaga? Marbella is a resort city in Costa del Sol, situated on the southern coast of the Spanish Mainland and less than an hour's drive from the major city of Malaga. Ibiza is a Balearic Island off Spain's east coast and a more isolated Spanish destination to visit. However, both Marbella and Ibiza have notorious nightlives and plenty to see and do. Little confused between Ibiza and Marbella. According to our travelling schedule and number of days we are travelling, we can only choose any one. Málaga and Marbella are two seaside cities on southern Spain's tourist-centric Costa del Sol, the sun-drenched coastal stretch of the Andalusia region. Many who are staying in Málaga —home to Roman remains, Arab palaces, and a rich, artistic culture—at least make a day trip south to the luxurious hamlet of Marbella. The good point is the price, it costs only 6,15€ or 8,20€ for the plus service (wifi, press). If your final destination is Puerto Banus you need to take a taxi from the Marbella bus station to your accomodation. The price is around 10€ and it takes only 10-15 min. Malaga has plenty of intersting sights, is on the coast and has a bustling and pleasant old town centre however it's not a place I would consider for a final few days of relaxtion. Marbella, whilst it does have a pleasant albeit small old town, is primarily another built up, Costa Del Sol tourist destination. oKhd7XZ.
